David Cummins – the ffusion project live in Albania
July 6th, I was priveliged to be a part of the ‘Folk Rocks’ live event at the Agimi Art Center, Tirana, Albania. Sharing the billing with Beti and Erina & The Elementals.
My friend and long time collborator, Altin Gjoni, put together an amazing group of musicians for the ffusion project live. We played a brand new set and their fabulous musicianship ensured my music was well received by the great crowd at the Agami Art Center.
Surprise guests, Thesaret labe, joined me on stage for an impromptu performace of ‘Show Yourself You Nightingales” that brought the house down.
Beti, accompanied by keyboard player Fatjon, opened the night with her angelic vocals underpinning her unique way of performing Albanian folk.
Erina and the Elementals closed the show with their blend of genres which her powerful voice, along with the seasoned International session man Altin Gjoni’s (a.k.a The Working Guitarist) fusion guitar style, Arvit Banishta’s bite on the bass, and Ledjan Nako’s groovy touch on the set ensured a rousing finish to a great show.
